We are very pleased with the success of Trans Meet 2021.Trans meets success happened due to the presence of our Guest speakers who shared their journey

1. Mr.Neel Kanaujiya (Raj ), co-founder of Umang LBT group ,Mumbai & Sahyog Maharashtra Transmen Sanghtna, who came from Mumbai shared his journey and experiences he had. He told how Transman and Transwomen are facing difficulties since many years. Mr Neel asked transmen present there to come out and fight for their rights. He even helped them understand what are the different options available for them so that their journey of transition can be smooth. He even clarified all the doubts of Transmen and Transwomen present there by answering all their queries.

2. Ms. Anchal Verma, Sarathi Trust as a peer, She is a Transwomen but with the so much of confidence and enthusiasm she shook the hearts of all those who were present there. Her journey made everyone realize how important it is to be there with someone who need support.

3. Mr. Sriti Chandran (Sri), Training Officer,Govt .Industrial Training Institute, Indore(M.P).He shared his journey of transition. He had received the first certificate of identity in Indore from National transgender portal of government. Showing it to all members present there and motivating all for fulfilling their dreams with courage and dedication. He cleared some of the procedure related to surgeries too.

Successful Outcomes:-

• We had with us honorable guest Dr. Anand Saoji (Govt. Psychiatrist).He heard all the problems and hurdles faced by transmen and transwomen in their journey. He was so inspired and touched by all this stories and session that he decided to help them in the process of getting psychiatry’s certificate easily. After meets impact there is a good news that Dr.Anand Saoji reduced his consultation fees to 50%.He provided GID certificate to 3 Transmen recently after this Meet.

• Mr.Naresh Palarpawar,Vice president of National Social Justice and Human Rights Community was also our guest in the meet. He congratulated Dr Bhavesh Jain for inviting him to this meet because he was able to know about who really are Transmen and Transwomen. He said that he will work with social justice department to provide certificate of identity to them without any delay after receiving application. He also assured to organize more meets in Nagpur for the welfare of transmen and transwomen with the help of department.

• Mr. Vijayan Pillai from NCCP,Nagpur (church) spoke to all the Transmen and Transwomen during the meet. He was present in the Meet from start till end. He has now decided to include all The LGBT community related issues in all the upcoming church community events. He said he will educate people in church about LGBT rights and sensitize them about people’s of this community. He also promised to sponsor all the future events with us.

• Around 45 Transmen came out after this meet and decided to change their identity soon.

Special speaker’s and host of this meet were:-

• Dr. Bhavesh jain, Disha Group LBT community Sarathi Trust & Sahyog Maharashtra Transmen Sanghtna Sadasya. The whole concept of Trans meet was an endless effort of him .He gathered all the transmen from Nagpur and even out of Maharashtra. Some were from Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh. Dr. Bhavesh took the responsibility of helping all transmen in their journey of transition.

• Mr. Anand Chandrani, President of Sarathi Trust. He gave speech on how overwhelmed he was to see all the transmen present in this Meet.He agreed that Transmen and Transwomen were being neglected always when it came to benefits being provided to transgenders and pointed out that in future also he will support every meet for Transmen.

2. Shown video made by The humsafar trust related to section 377

3. Shown video of Umang LBT group.

4. Question and answer session was conducted where Transmen and Transwomen both participated with full enthusiasm.Their querries were very beautifully solved by Mr. Neel Kanaujiya.

5. Mr. Neel Kanaujiya explained how to come out and fight for genuine rights. He discussed about future events to be organised soon in other states too.

6. This was the first time when only Transmen Transwomen came together for same cause.

7. All the participants came from different places this was the first they came face to face with each other. This meeting helped them to really see each other in person and clarify their doubts.
